Eddie Hearn straight after fury vs Ngannou fight: “Ngannou is awful, he wouldn’t even win a local English title, top 50 would beat him easily”

        Suddenly he’s a credible opponent

It is not a question of being credible. It is a question of being deserving of leap frogging boxers who have fought their way up the ranks to be in line to be given these matchups for the ultimate prize of a mandatory shot at the title of Heavyweight Champion of the World. Joshua has beaten Franklin, Helenious and a shot Otto to be getting run as the top cobtender after losing 3 out of 4 title fights badly. Joshua should be fighting Hrgovic or Zhang etc. Ngaunu did not deserve the Fury fight. I felt Fury should have been stripped for that clownshow. I do believe Ngaunu may be worthy of being a top 5 guy in the mix for these kind of opportunities but he should have fought a top 20 type like Ortiz. Win that and fight a fringe top 10 guy like Helenious. Win there and sure, then go beat someone like a Miller or a Joyce. Then he could say he has earned these kind of fights. It is a slap in the face to boxing and a exploitive match Heaen hopes will be an easy win over a novice for the ever babied AJ to compare with what a blubbery, sack of milkshakes looking Fury did vs Ngaunnu. Most would rather see AJ step in vs Zgang, Hrgovic, Sanchez or Anderson. Hell even the rubber match with Andy would be more interesting.
