Just curious what's the general opinion of him, from what I seen from his recent performances, he has solid boxing skills to outbox (and overwhelm) Joseph Diaz and an insane gas tank/output that stopped Gesta after he was coming off a solid win while going the distance with a Jorge Linares.
But rewatching his fights after he pulled the upset against former prospect Hector Tanajara, he got dropped early by Luis Angel Viedas in Tijuana prior to stopping his opponent in the third round and seemed overwhelmed by Rene Alvarado's pressure who was in a consecutive loss streak and moved up a division, Zepeda bounced back in the middle rounds by countering Alvarado's pivoting by also using angles himself and boxing smart up to the final round.
Nonetheless while Rene might have rejuvenated after moving up, he wouldn't be a top fighter in the lightweight division. Considering Zepeda has improved, how does he stack up at 135?
