Why isn't Mayweather vs. Cotto talked about. Is that even a possibility?

I've heard Mayweather mention Pacquiao rarely but nothing about...What if Cotto got past Pacquiao? It ain't only the people on NSB, HBO also...Kellerman screaming "Pacquiao, I thought that would get your attention". The whole HBO crew talking Mayweather vs. Pacquiao, everywhere Mayweather went, Pacquiao's name got thrown in Mayweather's face. To top it all off, Bob Arum is/ has talked about Mayweather vs. Pacquiao. So what if Cotto won?

I know I'm not alone here, I haven't heard one thing about Mayweather and Cotto facing off. Not from Espn, HBO...name it! I've been saying (Including Mayweather fans) that, "Mayweather will face the winner of Cotto vs. Pacquiao". How do we know?

The big to do with Pac is because Pac is now the #1 p4p fighter, and Floyd used to be... so it's more about the p4p throne then anything, which is Why Floyd-Pac has such an uproar.

When Floyd was on Fox Spots the first guy he mentioned was Cotto.

When Arum was talking about how Floyd would fight Shane, he mentioned how all 3 would beat him.

If Cotto beats Pac, that's all you'll hear about. Boxing is all about who's hot at the moment.

I know for sure that Cotto would fight floyd,because he'll fight anybody!!I'm not to sure floyd would though,just because of his track record,no pun intended!!

I'd ATLEAST like to hear about a possibility of Cotto and Mayweather going at it. I've heard some say that he'll face Shane if Cotto were to beat Pacquiao.

First people are going wth the hype and think Pacquiao will steamroll Cotto and they arent giving Cotto a chance. So the quickly just jump to the nect logial fight, without Manny having even fought Cotto yet.

Second evybody knows Mayweather wont fight Cotto even if Cotto is a bigger draw than Jesus Christ!!

So May-Pac maybe will happen even if Pac loses, because Mayweather wont fight Cotto at all, much less if Cotto destroys pacquiao in brital fashion!!!!!!

I think that a lot of people flat out just believe that Pac will take it to Cotto and just be to fast for him. I think it really depends on wheter or not Pac can really hurt Cotto. He seemed to me to be still suffering from the shock of that bad Margarito beating. Liek it took a bit out of him. I hate that too because there is no way that I can believe that he was not dealing with stuffed gloves.

But on top of that HBO knows that the Pac fight will be more lucrative so they are trying to speak it into existence. Hopping for what will be the best fight busines wise.

I wouldn't like to see that fight, don't think Cotto has IT do destroy Mayweathers defence; i'd rather see Williams (with his long hands) fight Mayweather.

I'm saying, remember when the 144 catchweight was thrown in Mayweather's face and all Floyd said was "It's a WW fight", we might expect Mayweather to face Cotto (If Cotto were to beat Pacquiao) and get Mayweather vs. Shane.
