Why on earth they are holding Kessler/Ward in America I don't know.

Ward can't draw flies to **** while Kessler would sell out a stadium in Denmark lecturing on the concept of paint drying...

While I'm sure Kessler is a much bigger attraction in Denmark than Ward is in the US, it's inaccurate to say Ward isn't a draw... he will probably have 10,000+ fans at the arena in Oakland.

From the looks in the 360 I would think that Gooses wouldn't want to have Ward participating in the tourney UNLESS he got homefield advantage.

Yeah, Goossen looked really reluctant to agree to change it up so Ward would have to travel to Europe at any point.

I know it's his job as a promoter to get the best possible situation for his fighter, but what a ****... the rest of these guys are all traveling at least once, if not twice. Ward doesn't deserve the kind of protection his team seems to be demanding.

I've got a feeling we will see the schedule change, forcing Ward to travel.

I can't imagine they would drop out of the tournament over this, especially with his first fight looming. The negative publicity Ward would receive for backing out would follow him the rest of his career.

Thing was Taylor-Kessler was in the second stage of the tournament, Dibella did not like that Taylor would have to travel to Germany for AA and then to Denmark for Kessler in back-to-back fights. They then decided to change it to Taylor-Ward that way it stays in the US. But yeah I think for the first 3 fights it will be Ward in the US, I don't know what happens if he makes it to the semifinals, I think he has to travel then, enough protecting IMO.

Why don't Ward and Dirrell fight on the deck of an aircraft carrier in the middle of the Indian Ocean?

Well I cannot see the schedule changing opponents wise. The tournament would lose a lot in prestige should that happen.

I believe the only thing that's still negotiable is the choice of venues. Hennesey went out in the danish medias the other day saying that Froch likely would travel to Copenhagen to face Kessler in March. Of course the danish press went somewhat overboard by the sheer prospect of having this big fight in Denmark so what Hennesey added was well hidden in the transcripts. He said something like this:

"...but we don't know for sure yet. Sauerland and I will determine if the fight is going to be in Nottingham or Copenhagen based on where the fight will generate the most revenue."

I thought each guy got at least 1 fight on their home turf.

Sucks that a Abraham-Kessler fight isn't scheduled for the first 3 stages. I guess they're banking on having them meet in the semis or in the final. It's either that or Sauerland doesn't want either guy to lose since they promote both.
