I agree with your part of your take. Ramirez is undoubtedly better than Rolly. But commercially, not so much. Ryan would probably double ppv buys fighting rolly than he would vs Ramirez. When I say rolly, Haney, and pitbull are bigger fights, I mean fan appeal not skill wise.
Garcia really hurt himself by talking so much BS to get the Tank fight and then doing so little during it - not to
mention taking a knee and watching the ref count to 10.Comment

Totally get your point but I think people are overestimating how many people would buy a Garcia-Romero PPV.

Maybe you’re right. I don’t see it that way, but understand if someone else does. At least he’s the only young fighter currently trying and doing everything in his power to make these fights happen. There’s no shame in losing to tank imo.Comment

Remember, Ryan called this out when he was at the presser for the Duarte fight.
He accused Golden Boy of trying to find "the next star Mexican" to beat him.
That's why he's pushing back - because this isn't a fight that benefits him. It only satisfies the hardcore fans.
Rolly Romero is the draw AND it's an easy win for Ryan AND it's an easy belt for Ryan. The pressers alone will be must-see TV.Comment

Ryan the hype job knows he is one loss away from fading into obscurity. He needs to find low-risk and high reward fights before that inevitable loss derails his popularity with casuals.Comment
