Comments Thread For: Hearn On Joshua-Wilder: You Saw Why We Were So Confident [When Parker Beat Wilder]

Eddie Hearn still can't help but laugh at those that believe Anthony Joshua and his longtime promoter breathed a collective sigh of relief when Joseph Parker upset Deontay Wilder on December 23.

Joshua isn't going to fight Wilder - "the biggest fight, bigger than Fury-Usyk" (according to Eddie), because "Wilder lost to Parker".

A few months earlier, Eddie was going on about how Fury-Ngannou was absurd etc...

March 2024: Joshua takes on Ngannou, who lost his first fight.

Are you guys trolling or legit deluded?

Ngannou dropped Fury and lost by split decision. Francis has 10x more credibility now than he had going into his first fight. Fans want to see him again and the Arabs want to pay him to go back to Riyadh and fight AJ.

Wilder had a signed contract to fight AJ if he beat Parker. He lost to Parker and looked like shit doing it. There was no way the Arabs were going to bring him back to fight AJ after a dismal performance like that.

I think AJ wins but Ngannou is a dumb fight for AJ. Anything other than an easy stoppage and he looks bad. And even then - people will say "So what? You beat a non-boxer"

This is the kind of fight you take for money at the end of your career (like Fury did)

AJ didn't need to take this fight. If Ngannou really does have that power that people says he has - in boxing. Then it's a really ****** risk to take. It's lose/lose. Also Aj has always struggled against guys with great chins - e.g. Ruiz, Franklin. He found those guys easy to hit but they would just punch when he punches. They would take a punch to land one of their own

It is not a bigger fight than Fury and Usyk now 'Wilder has just been beaten, by a former Joshua opponent who? Joshua beat easily'.

Ngannou vs Joshua is the second biggest fight, that could have possibly be made in the entire Heavyweight Division.

Fury was saved by the decision, he was given the decision vs Ngannou 'Fury did not win the fight'.

Joshua just like he did in 2017, is stepping up to fight of Fury's battles for him 'Joshua fought and beat the version of Kiltschko, who Fury should of fought in their scheduled rematch. But did not due to pulling out of that fight twice, due to his circumstance. And now in 2024, Joshua is stepping up to fight off Francis Ngannou'.

Francis Ngannou in his first professional boxing match, decked and beat up Tyson Fury over 10 rounds 'If there was no such things as boxing judges, and the boxing community and general public were left to decide who won the fight? Francis Ngannou would of been given the decision' etc.

Francis Ngannou was a non-boxer, before fighting Tyson Fury.

Francis Ngannou can no longer be considered, a non-boxer 'Ngannou has a professional boxing record, and has just fought Tyson Fury'.

In retrospect, Ngannou was a risky fight for Fury 'Yes it is a risky fight for Joshua'. At this level in the game, all fights are risky mate etc.

If you are interested in facts, listen to what Turki Alalshikh says about AJ vs Wilder in this interview. He still wants to make the fight and he hopes that Wilder comes back, but after the way Deontay looked against Parker, and the rumours about his physical condition, it would not be reasonable for him to fight AJ next.

So those are the facts. Are you going to accept them, or carry on bleating about Eddie Hearn like a mindless sheep?
