Comments Thread For: Ben Davison: Francis Ngannou is a Very Credible Opponent For Anthony Joshua

Best laid plans often go to waste in boxing but when Ben Davison took over the reigns of Anthony Joshua's training team, he probably assumed he would spend the first part of 2024 preparing the two-time unified heavyweight champion for a shootout with Deontay Wilder.

          Boxing "fans" are funny.

When Ngannou lost to fury by one point, it wasn't because Fury didn't train or underestimated Ngannou, no, Fury toom that fight deadly serious and had his best ever camp!

Now AJ is fighting him though, he's a joke and it's a joke fight?

I guess you can have it both ways, at least on Internet forums!

Ngannou has lost 100% of his fights. Zero wins.

Ngannou is the near enough perfect match making for Joshua, in terms of? What Joshua can get out of the win 'Joshua does not really get much credit out of beating Zhang or Hrgovic without a title attack to those fights'.

But it is 2024, and specifically speaking? Hardcore Fury fans, and all the boxing cronies are having a difficult time 'Discrediting other top Heavyweights in the Heavyweight Division'.

If Joshua beats Ngannou, for real. Because everyone knows that Ngannou thus far in his boxing career is undefeated 'Tyson Fury did not beat Francis Ngannou'.

In the eventuality that Joshua beats Ngannou, that will be three common opponents he has beaten more conclusively or impressively than Tyson Fury.

Anthony Joshua beat up and knocked out the version of Wladimir Kiltschko who Tyson Fury should of fought in their scheduled rematch.

Wladimir Kiltschko had to endure three back to back training camps, due to Fury continually pulling out of their scheduled rematch 'The fight was rescheduled twice, and Tyson Fury pulled out of his rematch with Wladimir Kiltschko twice unfortunately.

On April 17th 2017, Anthony Joshua in my opinion 'And in Kiltschko's own expert opinion'. Joshua fought a better prepared, more supremely conditioned Kiltschko than Fury. Kiltachko was 240 pounds vs Joshua, compared to 245 pounds vs Fury'.

Anthony Joshua beat up and knocked out Wladimir Kiltschko in the greatest Heavyweight title fight of the past 25 years 'Conclusively taking the Heavyweight Division into a completely new dynasty'.

Otto Wallin busted up Tyson Fury real good, and pushed him to a close fight over 12 rounds.

Anthony Joshua just like Wladimir Kiltschko, in my opinion 'And many boxing experts opinions, fought a better more experience version of Otto Wallin'.

Otto Wallin since losing to Tyson Fury, had gone on a six fight unbeaten run 'With his prior fight to Joshua, being his greatest ever win vs former IBF and WBA Cruiser weight World Champion Murat Gassiev.

Anthony Joshua won 100% of the rounds vs Otto Wallin, and forced the stoppage at the conclusion of the 5th round.

Note: It is mans nature, YOU will not be able to ignore the tectonic shifts in perception of the Heavyweight Division 'If Joshua keeps on wining'. And it is not just Anthony Joshua, we have just witnessed Deontay Wilder beaten rather easily by Joseph Parker.

Parker as a unbeaten World Champion, was beaten easily by Joshua 'By Unanimous decision'.

And yes I know? Boxing is more complicated than that. Fighters form can alter on a fight by fight basis 'But guess what?'.

The general public, do not care about of that. The general do not think, about of anything in-depth 'Lemmings of society, they may have a lot of interests but? Not really on a deep level or very passionate'.

People have a nature, and they instinctively understand violence and competition 'The media knows this, and so do people involved in big business'.

It is brilliant match making, and great timing for Joshua 'Providing that he can win'. Anthony Joshua is not on some crusade to prove himself to the boxing public 'Joshua is a Olympic Champion, and two time World Heavyweight Champion'.

At this stage of Joshua's career, he needs to apply pressure to his nearest competition 'Both inside and outside of the ring'. And that is achieved, by taking the right kind of fights.

The Top-4 Heavyweights are in a competition to see who will be the last man standing from this era 'Fighting Ngannou is the right for Joshua, to apply pressure to the top two Heavyweights who are Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk' etc.

Excellent fight, can’t wait to see it.

immediately setup after a fight, not like other fighters waiting for months for next opponents.

                    I'll bite bud.

I think the issue isn't that Franny is not dangerous, we all know he is, it's more in the fact that he did not earn his place in boxing. That was voiced for the Fury fight as well.
