  • Roach Says He'll Get Pacquiao's Head Right

Ring Magazine featherweight champion Manny Pacquiao's American trainer Freddie Roach says he is going to have to sit him (Pacquiao) down and get his head in the right place following reports that the flamboyant southpaw was taking things easy prior to his December 11 showdown with Fahsan 3K Battery, the IBF No. 4 super bantamweight, in a fight card titled "Yanig sa Taguig" on December 11. Pacquiao was reported shooting a TV reality boxing show in Subic over the weekend, playing pool and worrying about an entry in a ****fight derby in Cavite City later this month. [details]

Well look what happened to De La Hoya. I don't get him. People would kill to be in his shoes and it seems like he's just throwing it away. He's forgetting that although Fahsan is not in teh same caliber, the man will have a total of 100 rounds of sparring by Dec 11. He's done what? 8?!? This thai is hungry. Hope Roach gets Manny's head straight.

Let's hope we're not going to see the upset of the year, and the cancelation of a great fight!

hahaha man, if you were in the Philippines, Pacman is more than an Oscar De La Hoya. He's the best thing that ever happened since The 1986 Edsa People Power Revolution

If I were Roach, I'd give Pac a few punches myself to wake him up and bring him back to reality, instead of him doing that reality tv ****

Pac's doing some reality TV show, pool, ****fights...that means he's not training at all. That's sad for a talented fighter like him, seems like he's lost the hunger he onced had before the Barrera fight.

Fahsan's been training diligently, gets ample sleep/rest, sparring with top of the line fighters, Yodsanan 3K Battery nonetheless (a stablemate) and a good bantam prospect Poonsawat. That's sparring against power and speed.

Some good news though. He's already done 25 rounds of sparring (up from 8 rounds last week), and is now back on some serious training since Roach is already here in the Phils. Roach is even sleeping in Manny's house just to keep an eagle-eye on him. (Probably to make sure he stays in the gym )

You have a point there. Reminds me of when Oscar De la Hoya fought Yory Boy Campas. Days before the fight, Arum had that b.s. bit of news about Campas drinking some kind of tonic to prepare for Oscar, most likely to even the odds for the bookkeepers. It's just business as usual.
