Toney didn’t throw enough punches. He’d give him problems but I’d favour Beterbiev by decision. Toney’s best weight was 160-168 IMO.

The only guys I have beating him at 175 are Roy Jones and Andre Ward. Maybe Michael Spinks and Bob Foster too, would probably have to do a bit of tape study before giving a final word on them two.

Jesus Christ, guy beats Callum Smith and Gvozdyk nd people suggest that 4 guys in the history would beat him. Calm down a little folks, this division has a long history.

Beterbiev would be all wrong for Toney.

For one thing, he doesn't throw a conventional one-two which Toney loved to shoulder roll and counter off of. He throws these short, jolting punches with very little tell, and lots of them. Toney liked to hold his feet and catch and counter but Beterbiev is too destructive a puncher to stand in front of like that. You need to move to beat him.

Marcus Browne is the definition of a bum. was he ever a champ?

          Gvozdyk has done nothing professionally.

he beat a 42 yo damaged adonis stevenson. Callum Smith would do the same.

Joe Smith Jr is an even fight with Callum Smith.

Toney at 168 beats Beterbiev for sure. Artur would be drained.

But Toney was never a world champ at 175. he was a champ at 160, 168 and cruiserweight.

                Yarde went 8 rounds?

I can't remember if Tony was stopped at lower weights. How he responds to Beterbiev's punches we will never know.
Toney’s never been stopped at any weight.

Toney had more losses than Chisora. I am sure beterbiev would find the way to beat him at 175. these overrated old time fighters with many losses..

YUP. Marcus Browne was a champ. He beat badou jack who was the current champ at the time for WBC championship. Jack was on a 7 fight winning streak at the time.

Gvozdyk was the WBC champ. That version of stevenson is still a better win than anything callum smith has ever done. Stevenson had a draw with jack his previous fight and was koing guys still in his previous fights.

Callum smith lost to a 168 lb midget in rhyder and got a gift decision. He's a glorified journeyman.
