I always disagree with this on principle. Don't get me wrong its silly to suggest everyone ages at the same rate so this guys 35 might not be the same as some other guys 35, but everyone ages & wear & tear impacts EVERYONE.

There is zero doubt in my mind that Beterbiev's body could handle more at 28 than 38. Its just how human body's are. Winning fights or still being among the top guys in your division doesn't disprove your body isn't what it used to be. Age is always a factor for that reason, but it doesn't mean it'll be the deciding factor on any given Saturday.

How many amateur fights did Beter have ?

ggg has 350 or something insane like that. He was visibly diminished by late 30’s. The spring in his leg was gone

beter has a youthful look about him which im sure helps as what u see on the outside can reflect whats going on inside too but then again this guy barroso looks ancient but has got himself into great shape and doing very well

generally tho guys hitting late 30's seem to often fall off a cliff to me

even guys doing well late 30's im sure if they had the same prep luck with injuries & opportunities etc earlier would also be better

Guys like Arum blow my mind.

I'm 38 and pretty healthy but I absolutely will not live as long as Arum and i'd imagine if I did I would be measuring my success as to whether or not I avoided s.hitting my pants that day.

There is something creepy about a sharp 2000 year old man with ambition.

Alot of it is genetic. Biev is what's known as a genetic outlier, almost certain he has Scythian genetics. Naturally immensely strong, likely thicker bones than 90% of men his size. Some men hit 30 and they get fat and fall apart without intense exercise and a good diet. Genetic outlier is the kid you knew in school who could eat crap, barely touched a weight and yet still had a six pack and was ripped as hell.

Biev ain't normal. It is funny to hear normal joe's, which is what I am, saying he must be on drugs since he is 38 and unchanged.

I knew a farmer that lived near me as a kid. He was in his 70's, muscled and could bale hay and work fields all day with no problem. Stronger than an ox.

Biev is just a genetic freak.
