  • Comments Thread For: De La Hoya on Bob Arum: I Hope He Lives for Another 20 Years; I Love Picking His Brain

Oscar De La Hoya loves that he is just a stone's throw away from Bob Arum. De La Hoya, the head of Golden Boy Promotions, moved from his longtime home of Los Angeles to Las Vegas last year, a decision that the Hall of Fame fighter has described as beneficial to his company because of the concentration of boxing events and powerbrokers in the city.

Bob Arum hasn't always said, or done the right thing.
Overall he's been good for boxing, providing boxing on ESPN, and now on ESPN+.
So I hope that he does have another 20 years of life.

That's for sure! Ask Miguel Cotto and Mikey Garcia! I lost a lot respect for him, with the Floyd-Pacquiao thing, with the fake contracts, needles, and outdoor stadium BS! I hope he does right by Shakur, Xander, and Shu-Shu! Those are great talents, that I hope don't go to waste!

Oscar sure has changed his tune on Arum over the years hasn't he?! ) Didn't he once negatively refer to Arum as a "New York ***" or something like that?

Like the previous poster stated : love him or hate him but he’s as much a figure in boxing as is the Statue of Liberty in New York
He just like everyone else ; where there’s a little bad , there’s also a little good
