Did mike have the footspeed and footwork to get up on his toes and move like ali

    Sound familiar

Hi Steve, I am a huge tyson fan and I would really appreciate if you could answer my question . This question might seem bizarre but here I go . I know it would'nt of suited Tyson's style but did mike have the footspeed and footwork to get up on his toes and move like ali , did mike have the foot speed, balance and athleticism to do that ?

I THINK MIKE WOULD HAVE BEEN OK TRYING TO DO THAT BUT I DONT THINK THAT HIS NATURAL ATHLETIC TALENT WAS UP TO ALIS. IN ORDER TO FIGHT LIKE ALI FOUGHT YOU MUST HAVE EQUAL NATURAL PHYSICAL ABILITY. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE NATURAL PHYSICAL ABILITY YOU WILL NOT BE SUCCESSFUL. THINK ABOUT THE FIGHTERS WHO TRIED TO EMULATE ALI AND NEVER MADE IT; JAMES TILLIS, HOWARD DAVIS, JIMMY CLARK. GREG PAGE

PLEASE REMEMBER. ALI WAS SUCCESSFUL BECAUSE HE WAS MUCH MORE ATHLETIC THAN HIS OPPONENTS AND NOT BECAUSE HE HAD BETTER SKILLS. ALIS SKILLS WERE VERY POOR. HE FOUGHT WITH HIS HANDS DOWN AND NEVER MOVED HIS HEAD PROPERLY. HE PULLED BACK FROM PUNCHES AND THAT IS DANGEROUS IF YOU FIGHT AN OPPONENT WHO THROWS MORE THAN ONE PUNCH. AS CUS DAMATO SAID ITS LIKE BEING ON RAIL ROAD TRACKS. YOU CAN ONLY PULL BACK SO FAR. AND SPEAKING OF CUS THATS ANOTHER REASON WHY MIKE DID NOT FIGHT THE ALI STYLE. CUS REALIZED THAT THE FIGHTERS WHO WILL EARN THE MOST MONEY WILL BE THE FIGHTERS WHO ARE EXCITING - THAT MEANS THE ONES WHO ARE AGGRESSIVE AND NOT THE ONES THAT RUN AROUND THE RING.
