Me keeping the same energy you guys have for other CERTAIN Boxers: THUG, CRIMINAL, OUTLAW, CONVICT, MENACE II SOCIETY etc....... man there sure are a lot of excuses about father abuse a d a whole lot of well wishes about how we hope he seeks help and gets better. What if we just do what we always do and link his actions to his race and say "it's what these violent people always do" .... right?????

I genuinely worry that, with the way he's plummeting, Jr isn't gonna get to see his 40s

Nepotism helped him garner enough fame to even get a fight w Andy Lee. It’s what got him signed to TR, developed, thrown on HBO, and gifted a title shot on HBO who the same network felt wasn’t worthy of getting a defense against Martinez. This is the title shot that led to the Andy Lee shot, by the way.

also wouldn’t be shocked if the nepotism is what got him past the drug tests.

he is the definition of nepotism. Same thing for Nico Ali Walsh. Only reason he’s on tv is because of nepotism. What he ends up getting out of these opportunities, and how much outside “help” he gets in the future remains to be seen.

Boxing has many sad stories involving fighters, their families, etc. Many end up poor, mentally & physically damaged, etc. Boxing is exciting but behind the scenes there is often tragedy. Best wishes for the Chavez family.
