Comments Thread For: Zhilei Zhang: Hearn Won't Let My Anywhere Close To Joshua, He Knows What Will Happen

Chinese giant Zhilei Zhang is aiming to return to the ring in the month of March, with Saudi Arabia in his sights. There is already talk of Zhang returning to the ring as part of the undercard to the heavyweight clash between Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou, which takes place on March 8 in Saudi Arabia.

I could see Zhang making AJ quit in the ring again and Hearn probably sees that too. He’s going to milk AJ as long as he can because he knows that he’s just one fight away from another mental breakdown/loss that would end his career this time.

Joshua had Zhang on the floor in the 2012 Olympics so can do it again. Both men can be hurt so it would be a fun fight with multiple knockdowns.

            Joshua’s chin has gotten worse

Zhang gained 50 lbs. sturdier than ever.

fight was 13-11. Zhang landed plenty back then

I personally believe that Zhang would knock out Joshua. What they have been doing with Joshua is feeding him tomato cans to get back his confidence before throwing him in with a more credible fighter. With the way that Wilder looked in his last fight, I would consider him a tomato can at this point. Zhang is too high risk for Joshua. They need to find someone low risk for Joshua but with enough credibility to make him look better. Wilder is that guy.

While I tend to agree with most of the previous comments, Zhang is 40 years old and at that age he could be hot one day and not the next. His wins over Joyce were pure fire, but I'd be calling for the wheels to suddenly come off on Joyce for a year, and they did just that. Joyce looked badly battered by Parker in his biggest win. I'm interested to see what Joyce looks like in his next match as I do wonder if Zhang was as on fire as he looked in the rematch or if some of it had to do with Joyce being compleyely shot (as I hold). ZZ is compelling and to me right now he is the division X-factor.

Hrgovic fits the bill but isn't fully marinated yet.

AJ has already beaten him at the Olympics when he was much younger. So, beating now again people won't give him credit for it. Zhang is just looking for a payday. Nothing is wrong about but unfortunately haters like you will jump on it and start spewing out gibberish.
