Mafia threats or to his family Or the diplomatic way... Remember Braddock got a percentage of all of Joe Louis's fights after he lost the title to Joe? Make Floyd an offer he simply can't refuse, something like $100m AND a cut of all of Crawford's future fights. Maybe another $5m per Bud fight. But this scenario would be contingent on if Floyd is running low on millions.

But are those circus shows really making anyone money? Disregard the numbers Floyd puts out there, the man is no beacon of truth and never was )

Crawford will try to A-Side on Floyd.

You know full well it isn’t happening.

Knowing Floyd's history of taking the paths of LEAST resistance, yes it looks like a pipe dream. But, knowing Floyd's love for money and insatiable greed, the fight is an automatic $100m, win or lose. Or perhaps he could make a deal with Bud to play soft, like a half intensity sparring session. Nobody gets hurt. There's no way Floyd's recent circus exhibitions are doing big numbers. One last Bernard Hopkins style last hurrah makes sense. Who know, maybe Floyd can take this kid Crawford. Though on the surface I think Crawford is a better fighter than Floyd ever was. It certainly would be an intriguing event, more so than Charlo vs Canelo or Bud vs Spence 2, or any other 147 matchup.

There's a better chance you see a Flying Delorean than Floyd fighting Terence Crawford.

Floyd knows Crawford wouldn't go for that. Beyond that, Floyd hasn't "competitively" fought in close to a decade. Why even entertain a Crawford fight who he himself isn't a "Huge" ticket seller? As crazy as it sounds, Mayweather vs Pac 2 (even today) does more business than a Floyd vs Crawford fight (if it meant the PBC were THAT desperate).

Also keep in mind, Floyd in a lot of ways is behind the scene with the PBC. For that, why not invest in making the Canelo vs Benavidez fight and begin the prospect of it happening in September right now? Floyd as a "competitive fighter" is done.

                A-Side isn’t just about pay.

Crawford will try to demand the gloves he used against Avanesyan; that it take place in Omaha; that he gets to choose the ref; that he can see the books; no random blood and urine testing; etc.

Floyd will do to Crawford what he did to Pacquiao in 2009 when PAC refused to comply., which is show him the door.

Because Canelo is never going to fight Benavidez, he'll get beaten up so bad he'll lose all value. That fight is never happening. Yes, Floyd has been an exhibition fighter basically since around the Hatton fight. But they can make an inside job deal with Crawford to play soft and make sure nobody gets hurt or knocked out. Floyd loses a decision or quits on his stool for $100m and a cut of Bud's future fights makes a lot of sense. Remember, Floyd is driven by money and his silly exhibitions don't move the needle at all. They keep in the news - and set him up for something like this Crawford fight. We'll see...

Floyd would never do a real fight with Crawford, he's scarier than all the guys Floyd ducked in his prime - Harris, Cotto in 2008, Margarito, Williams, Martinez, etc. If this were to happen I suspect it would be a soft sparring business fight. A real fight would be far too risky for Floyd's health and "self preservation." Crawford could give Floyd brain damage.
