I mean really, I don't even get the african/mexican-american thing. If you were born in Mexico or both your parents are Mexican, you're Mexican but you're also American as you were born and lived here. And really... I can't think of the last black guy I met whose parents, grandparents or great grandparents were born in Africa. Look... you're American who happens to be black, not an African or black who happens to be American. Sure, we all have our slight culture differences, but there so minute it doesn't matter. pacquiao had 1 fight at 135. maybe if he had more fights at 135 you can say something about him ducking campbell or casamayor. blame oscar/floyd/ricky for that. if floyd didn't pull out of the oscar fight and ricky hadn't wanted a tuneup with malignaggi then maybe manny would have fought nate and joel instead of ricky and oscar. that said diaz was #3 at 135 and a beltholder. not bad for his first fight at 135.
guzman didn't win a title at 130 'til 2006. are you suggesting pacquiao have fought him instead of marquez , morales and barrera who were all ranked above guzman at 130? guzman's 1st and only real big win was soto at the end of 2007. manny fight guzman for a paper belt instead of #2 marquez for lineal/ring title in march 2008? guzman didn't even become top ranked at 130 'til AFTER pacquiao , morales , barrera and marquez all retired or vacated 130.
holt was at 140. pacquiao's 1st fight at 140 was a few months ago. he fought the #1 guy at 140.
zahir raheem was a tuneup for morales. just because he beat morales doesn't mean pacquiao was suppose to fight him. pacquiao's tuneup for the same card was velazquez. does that mean if velazquez beat pacquiao , morales had to fight him? besides raheem was at 135. by the time pacquiao went to 135 last year , raheem wasn't even ranked anymore.
freitas last fight was may of 2007. pacquiao didn't move up to 135 'til june 2008.

Pac didn't reach 130 until Corrales was at 135.
Pac in 2005 had his first 130 fight.
Corrales in 2004 had his last 130 fight. Same as Joel.
When were they supposed to fight? Was anyone even calling for it?
Guzman you might have a case for,
but what had he done to put himself in position for a fight?
Come in overweight and get a fight cancelled. How professional.

Holt and Raheem is the best chance you have and I'd love to see the Holt fight, but I think he'd blow right by Raheem in a few rounds.

campbell last fight at 130 was 2005 when he got KTFO by peden.
corales last fight at 130 was 2004.
holt has never fought below 140.
casamayor last fight at 130 was 2004.
raheem last fight at 130 was 2003.
the only guy who was at 130 the same time as pacquiao is guzman.
pacquiao fought barrera , morales and marquez who were #1 or #2 at the time at 130.
