Trust me that's not muscle. It's either fat or water, next day on fight night he'll blow up to 155lbs. I honestly don't think 146lbs and 145lbs will make any difference in Cotto's overall performance. Who know's, it might actually even help him, he might be lighter and faster on his feet.

Everything points to Cotto being able to make the weight just fine...

He has stated 145 wouldn't be an issue...He has also stated that he wouldn't be beat on the scales....So the fact that he signed the fight at 145 to me says he and his camp are confident 145 won't be a problem.

I think for his last fight he weighed in at 146.8 ...So it's a little more then a pound...but like others have said....if he can't make the weight healthy it's his fault for signing the fight....There should be no excuses made for him...I know he won't make excuses.

Yea I'm not sure why 1&only thinks you can lose muscle mass by not eating for a day...

          Use your thinking muscle buddy.

When a fighter dehydrates he loses water weight....To lose muscle mass he would have to stop training or become inactive for a way long period of time.

Going two days without eating? Is that good enough for a fighter?

I want to see a fair fight, none of this DLH-Pac Deja Vu **** or else am going to be like this fight is worth ****.

I was at the weigh-in for Cotto-Clottey and Cotto made the weight with room to spare. And he looked like he could've dropped a couple more pounds. Fantastic condition. Clottey on the other hand, had bottles and bottles of pedialyte, which he swallowed one after the other as soon as he stepped off the scales. Cotto will be fine.
