Comments Thread For: Eddie Hearn On Berlanga Taking On Padraig McCroy: "He Needs a Statement"

Edgar Berlanga signed with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing for several reasons. There are too many to name them all but the longtime promoter promised to get Berlanga some gigantic fights. It might be early, but he hasn't delivered just yet.

I'm so tired of this dude being on training wheels. Fight David Benavidez or go sit ur ass down somewhere. At least fight someone who can walk down the street and be recognized, someone with some kind of resume in boxing. Test yourself, u scared to get a ouchie or a few speed knots on ur head? Damn bro, step it up already, wtf u doing with ur career?

McGregory seems someone that a prospect or upcoming fighter (like Pacheco) should be fighting, not a top contender.

Even if Berlanga looks good, if there is no knockout, sadly the fans will still boo this man.

I’d say you and more than three quarters of the boxing community
Classic Slow Eddie trying to sell us the usual bullchit
The only thing that would be surprising and even then , would be Berlanga losing this fight
Now that would be a statement

Maybe they found the right tomato can for him to blow over. Eddie has said Berlunga needs a statement his last two fights, which underwhelmed.

Hahahahahaha..This is the same shyte he told Andrade almost verbatim four years ago "The winner is going to put themselves in an unbelievable position. They could fight TRIPLE-G, they could fight Canelo Alvarez. Massive, massive fight for both". Hahahaha Andrade got none of those fights and neither will Berlanga. He will end up at PBC by 2025 to fight his designated American fights after he's done with the Euro tour.

Lets be honest when did Andrade ever make a statement in his career, he's never even beat a credible opponent.

And the cans he's had he hasn't exactly dispatched in good fashion.

And the same will be true of Berlanga most likely he was never a puncher as amatuer, he was seen as soft on the local scene and then suddenly he's a big shot with these string of knockouts, truth is he looks to be what he always was...

To be on PBC would be no different than DAZN only he'd be fed his diet of Mexicans, don't pretend they aren't running exactly the same ship...

Fúcking hell most of you PBC bum boys cry about people not fighting black fighters and when you check their resumes (PBC guys) they've not got any black fighters or Americans themselves.

Jake paul should've taken the edgar barmenga route tbh, have 15 "pro" boxers lined up to get KOed in the first round then fight subpar competition later, that could've been done in a few months if he really wanted to.
