I noticed this:

WBA (Super): Dmitry Bivol (22-0, 11 KO, 11 Defenses – full; 13 – interim & full)

Consecutive Title Defense Record – WBA: Victor Galindez/Michael Spinks/Virgil Hill (2X)/Roy Jones Jr. - 10

If Bivol has 11 defenses (seems like he has, but only 5 of WBA super, which is maybe the difference?), should he have a record for WBA?

I do not mean this as a criticism, just expressing my opinion.


I think it's unfair to champions who held and defended a major title their entire reign to have reigns of major title holders measured in numbers with no indication when a title became a major title.

Darius, for example, was champion from the mid 90s to early 2000s. The WBO doesn't get universally recognized by the other major bodies as a major body until 2007. The talent sanctioned by the WBO in the 90s and early 2000s reflect that situation.

These lists present champions of major bodies in numbers but leave out the fact that the WBO transitioned from minor to major which makes it seem like a WBO champion was on an even playing field as a WBC or WBA champion in the 90s, which, just isn't true and we all know it. The WBO was junior league stuff back then.


That said, great list, well done, and again I don't mean it as a criticism. If Cliff or whoever reckons it's no big deal I have no issue with that I just disagree.
