That's exactly how I see it, Taylor wasted to much time with the fake rematch negotiations for the Catterall fight (he was joshing).
Letting a year, and four months go by before fighting Teofimo, who outpointed him, and took the only title he had left.
Now 7 months have been wasted away, he has no fight scheduled in sight, and he's all of 33 going on 34 years old, he's only fooling himself.
He was a really good fighter 3-5 years ago, but once he became undisputed, and had that draw with Catterall, it appears that he lost his fighting spirit.
Age has had something to do with his decline, as well as inactivity, he got married, has made good money, and accomplished a lot in 20 fights.
He should concentrate on raising a family, because if your hearts not into fighting 100%, you're going to get hurt, and those are the fact's!

Here we go again, every name fighter is going to claim that they are going to fight 3 or 4 times this year, and we will be lucky to get 1 fight out of them.

I was about to criticise the WBO for ranking Giovani Santillan number 1 but Boxrec have him 4 and TBRB have him 5. It's a weak division, with fighters such as Stanionis dropping out of the rankings due to inactivity.
