If either of them REALLY wanted the fight, the fight would’ve been made long ago. Stop with the BS excuses, neither wanted it, both were content with having terrible boxing careers, getting ok money and terrible opponents.

The difference now is Bivol got a taste of those big paydays and sat out for a year because he thinks he’s worth more than what he’s worth so now his only options are he can finally get an almost 40 year old Beterbiev for unification or continue to make peanuts and fight on undercards like his last fight.

Same with Beterbiev, he’s close to being 40, so now he can fight Bivol, make a good retirement payday and say “hey he beat me because of age”

Explain how a more than 2 year wait (6 for this one) isn’t considered a duck or aging someone out all of a sudden

Explain how a 39 year old is all of a sudden a good matchup when for years we kept hearing how +35 year olds are past it, old, retirement bound. Just last year we kept hearing and are still hearing how fighting a 40 year old was the most terrible matchup ever. Is there going to be a huge gap between a 39 1/2 year old vs a 40 year old? Am I missing something?
