  • Comments Thread For: John Ryder: "2024 Will Be The Best Year Of My Career, Including A Win Over Jaime Munguia"

John Ryder is a good fighter but in the eyes of oddsmakers, he couldn't make the leap to true championship contender. With a handful of losses already smeared onto his record, the betting world had a feeling that he would come up short against Daniel Jacobs in February of 2022. They were wrong. Ultimately, they doubled down in his next appearance against Zach Parker a few months later. They were wrong again.

If Ryder could hang with Canelo then he is certainly capable of giving Munguia all he can handle.

Chenko went toe to toe with GGG but when he fought Munguía it was to baby him.

Mungo didn't beat Chenko, he got another gift. This was against a clearly past his best Chenko too coming from loads of losses and no momentum.

Munguia ducked the fight before with Ryder when he was active and winning. But as soon as he's coming from a tough loss, the coward jumps on it. Just look at the condition of all his opponents before he'll fight them. Munguia clearly didn't believe he could beat a past his best Ryder. But he does when he's coming off a loss. At his best though, Munguia wouldn't touch him with a barge pole. If for arguments sake he did, he'd be on the receiving end of a beating. Munguia clearly has no belief in himself with his opponent selection.

Chenko slapped Munguia all over the place and had him out on his feet only to get robbed of the decision. What are you talking about? He stood right in front of him and abused him. Unless you think a round of not doing so means he "Babied" him.

Who has Mongo put in an ambulance? absolutely no one. Ryder did chase Mongo off though when he was winning and had momentum. But as soon as he's coming straight from a tough loss like all the opponents he goes for are, the coward becomes a bit brave? Haha.

You better hope he beats a past his best Ryder coming from a loss and doesn't need another robbery again. Mongo can't afford the embarrassment.
