I bet you do Todd... What promoter wouldn't take that as a quick money grab!

Based on the first fight idk how anyone could suggest he doesn't. Thing is with Fury vs Usyk 1 & 2 in play for 2024 its probably unlikely to happen til 2025 & Ngannou is already 37yrs.

It sucks that we have to always have these mandatory rematch clauses, if the fight is close and entertaining with alot at stake the boxing public will want to see it anyway. If its a wash like Bud/Spence no one will care for it and just want both guys to move on.

I wonder who Francis could fight instead? Maybe Dubois?

I think Wilder is still the best name even with that sh^t last fight. If Ngannou had fought the Wilder Parker fought I think it'd have been a Ngannou KO. That'd be huge for Ngannou.

I just listened to a podcast with Ngannou's trainer & he said the only guys they wanted to box for his debut was Fury, AJ or Wilder. Idk if that has changed now or not for fight 2.

AJ I feel(right now) will make him look like a tomato can, which would be funny if he ****s on Fury's resume even worse as he has consistently done over his career.

Francis I too believe would have stopped the Wilder who showed up against Parker, light timid still no boxing ability.

You're right though, Fury is tied up now and Francis doesn't have much time so Wilder can rebuild his reputation if he cares to by doing what Fury didn't against an inexperienced boxer where Francis could ko Wilder in impressive fashion making his case further as a top dog at HW.

He was offered the AJ fight post Fury and didn't want it. he seems to really want that Fury rematch. I think he should have taken the AJ fight for the money with those rematch clauses and anything can happen with Fury. I don't think he'll take a lesser boxer as there won't be the money and let's be honest he could get beat . I can't begrudge the man a payday, maybe there would be enough money in it for a Wilder fight. I honestly can't see him beating AJ just because he stays in shape unlike Fury who just doesn't show up if his heart is in it,
