Comments Thread For: Tarver Backs Crawford as P4P Best: How Many P4P Champions Has Inoue Defeated?

It might be just a mythical title, but practically every fighter salivates at the thought of being regarded as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. Essentially, the number one slot is being fought over by Terence Crawford and Naoya Inoue.

One - Donaire. Who he beat twice.

Crawford has a max of one - Spence, and it’s debatable whether he should be considered P4P. Even if he is, Crawford won once.

Inoue has two wins over a guy who was a P4P level and is a lock for Hall of Fame.

Let's be real here, it's a toss up between the two. If you have Inoue pound for pound, that's fine and vice versa with Crawford. Both are terrific boxers and deserve plaudits; I personally have Crawford number one but I'm not going to act like Inoue couldn't be number one.

            Good post.

I personally have Inoue P4P #1 but agree with what you said.

            Tarver has his own opinion.

                Crawford:
                3 division lineal champion
                2 division undisputed
                3 division world titlist
                14-0 vs ranked opponents
                10-0 vs world titlists

                Inoue:
                2 division lineal champion
                2 division undisputed
                4 division world titlist
                13-0 vs ranked opponents
                13-0 vs world titlists

Crawford has 3 lineal crowns so that makes him #1 in my book, but anyone who says Inoue's resume isn't incredible too is a clown. These two are head and shoulders above anybody else in boxing.
