Tarver getting his jaw broken and knocked down vs harding and, even more embarrassing...Tarver getting knocked down by Reggie "no power" Johnson.

hmmmmm a breeze of bitterness is heading north-east from the Pensacola region.....

Don't hate the player, Tarver came up huge against your boy, after getting KD'd against Johnson and Harding for that matter.... you should have more respect for the man that beat the man

Mine would most deinately be when James Toney knocked out Michael Nunn with that sweet left hook.

I was at a party when somebody said that the fight was about to start on the television. I quickly found a seat and was in for the long haul. James had left our gym a while before and had turned pro and I had heard that he had gotten with Jackie. I watched him on espn and after a while heard that he was in for the title against Nunn.

Nunn was a sweet fighter, fast, smooth and elusive. I watched James get his ass handed to him for many rounds until he caught Nunn right in the kisser, and down he went. I was pleased and shocked when I watched James after the Knock out.

Thats what inspired me to turn pro. Shortly after I would call up Jackie and ask her what she thought about it. She said that I would probably do very well and set me up with everything I needed and I started my training for my first professional fight.

James really grew after he was champion. I'm not sure what it was but suddenly he was doing things that most fighters just could not do. Watching him in the gym at Galaxy while I worked was both inspirational and a great learning tool. I did pick up some of those things from James, but not like him in the same way. The guy is just simply extremely talented, and it was one left hook that started him on the path to higher grounds than the rest of us...........Rockin'

Actually, I live in Tallahassee now. However, I will be the first to admit I will root against Tarver in every fight he fights from here on out. He didn't show any respect for the man and he also does not get that much credit in my book given the time at which he beat the man.

He is also a whiner. Seriously...the guy whines...a lot. He thinks he's hot **** afer KO'ing 35 yr old Roy Jones...then Glen Johnson went and did the same.

In any case, I don't hate the man. I hate no one. I'm just showing that Tarver is nothing special like Roy was in his prime. He's good, but prime for prime he has nothing for Roy.

then came right back and landed those hard shots.
It looked cool, if you folks saw it.

Briggs had the "blonde" dreads in that fight.
I know EXACTLY the knockdown you speak of... 0:37 seconds left in round 4...Briggs rallies...Lewis turns and smiles at Briggs...catches him with a left hook...then a casual, swift, calm, right-left-right...that knockdown is an example of just how calm Lewis is in the ring

That was a SWEET knockdown, but I liked the final KD more, it was a basic 1-2 to the head, but it took Briggs about 10 seconds to finally crash to the canvas, and by some miracle he GOT UP!

I think it was pretty funny the way Wlad Klitschko knocked down Ray Mercer when they fought.

What was funny was that Mercer went from being considered a young 40-year-old, to being considered an ancient shell of a once-proud fighter, in a matter of minutes, in that fight
