His father was just as bad if not worse. Where do you think he learned it from? At least now they are forced to have a bit more transparency, at the height of papa Sulaiman you could get a wet rock on the side of a cliff ranked by the wbc.

Thank you Mauricio Sulaiman Jr. for bleeding out boxing and using it as your personal piggy bank. I'd also like to thank the WBA, IBF and WBO for abandoning all rules and fleecing boxers while fostering fights that nobody cares about right up until the the fan base diminished and networks cut programing..

          Thank you for that.

Damn, the WBC belt was the only thing keeping Jermall Charlo alive?

It's a joke and a disgrace. Period. The IBF stripped Marshall (who has a legitimate injury) after only five months and gifted the belt right back to Crews-Dezurn, who she beat. No one wants to see Charlo unwell or wish him bad. But at the same time it's not anyone else's problem with regards to the belt or the sport and it's not a fan's responsibility to care. Charlo should've stepped aside a long time ago. Never fought a champion for the belt in the first place and held it hostage for over 2 years while he cried at home. And his last "fight" doesn't even count because it wasn't even for the damned belt. Should've been called an exhibition, which is basically what it was. I don't know who's a bigger disgrace in this situation, Charlo or Sulaimon & The WBC.

This has set a precedent now - next time a WBC champion feels depressed or similar they just need to whisper the right thing in Sulaiman's ear. Champion in Recess, if it is not for a situation like this then what purpose does it serve?

He protected canelo a lot more than jermall. He even created a mystical belt known as the franchise belt for canelo to protect him from dangerous mandatories. This is not even on that level. Not even close. Jermall was proactive reached out to them and told them about his issues, and if jermall had kept quiet, they would have stripped him.

It is ridiculous not to have stripped Jermall of his Belts. Even if he is your best friend. Boxing is big business, denying championship fights for over 2 years should be a financial crime.
