Why is that Mayweather never wants to fight a legit (elite) fighter?

Easy answer; because his super, duper scare to lose and that is it. Common people, Mayweather fans, stop defending him, as a boxing fan I want to see the best fights out there, that include if my favorite boxer has to face his worst nightmare. Mayweather should learn something from Felix "Tito" Trinidad; Don't be afraid of losing. Tito's legacy won't be diminish because he lost 3 times. Tito fought with bigger and stronger fighters than himself, Tito knew that he had a slim chance of beating Hopkins, Winky or Roy (although in his mind he thought that he could knock them out), yet, he took on the challenge, he wanted to give his loyal fans, boxing fans in general and his people of Puerto Rico something to talk about even if it meant losing. Tito could have stay in the 154 or 160 for those fights that he made over 168 pounds against the boxers mention above, yet, Tito said; "bring on the TITANS" and he took the fights. Now that's a fighter willing to make a great legacy (Blocker, Camacho, Campas(56-0) when he fought him, Oba Carr (32-0) when he fought him, Whitaker, De La Hoya, Reid, Vargas, Joppy) not a fighter picking on smaller guys to build an incomplete legacy. Common even Ali and Robinson lost fights and they are consider to be the best of the best of all times but they took every challenge that was presented to them. Moreover, if Shane Mosley would have stay away from the way of the late Vernon Forrest (lost twice to him), Winky Wright (lost twice to him) or Miguel Cotto, Mosley would be undefeated too, but he didn't, he took on the challenges that were presented to him. I will have more respect toward Mayweather if he faces elite fighters like Mosley, Berto, Clottey, Cotto among others, and if he loses any of those fights it won't diminish his legacy because he took on the best fighters out there and if he wins them, then more power to him and his legacy and maybe like that he can consider himself as one of the best of all times but not while his facing guys that can't present a risk to his career. You will never see Mayweather going up to challenge a bigger man from another division, instead, he will challenge the smaller guys to come up and face him at a weight-catch that he cannot even make, how can you build a legacy that way or consider yourself as the best ever? Nobody can't tell me that Marquez is better than Mosley because is not true, Mosley will knock Marquez out in 3 rounds or in less, Marquez is a great fighter but in his own weight class not in welterweight. So, will see who's next in Mayweather's list, but don't expect a real challenge for him on less God tells him otherwise.

Mayweather never wants to fight legit elite ww fighters because he has weak wrists and ends up break'n them when he fights bigger guys. He's broke both his wrists and it's a known fact that he shot'm up before fights to numb the pain...he simply can't defend himself against elite welter weights, but he's still an artist in the ring. You just gotta appreciate'm for what he is and not what you wish he was...he know's his limits.

PBF says God dont want him to lose. But id rather say PBF dont want himself to lose. By cherry picking opponents.

Simply Put Mayweather is a PR generated pumped up fighter, period. Thats not to say he isn't a good fighter , he is but will never be concidered great because he has done nothing but to have carefully hand picked oppponents fed to him for years. History , when all is said and done will looks at mayweather, who he fought and when in their carreers and find that consistantly he dodged any fighter who would be a legitimate threat and that's the difference between a truely good and great champion. It's not to say he wouldn't have won the fights but chose the business side of boxing and got rich doing it. His choice. You simply can't look at his carreer and put him in the same catogory of the Roberto Duran's, Sugar Ray Leonard or any of the other truely great lighter fighters thathave came and went. Fighting a bloated Hatton who was on the down side, an past his prime marquez who had to move up 2 weight divisions or a media darling like long really retired Dela-Hoya don't cut it. He won made a ton of money but he ain't great!!!
