Comments Thread For: Naoya Inoue Admits Gervonta Davis Fight Is Unlikely, Praises Him As P4P Worthy

Ive seen a few people comment about this saying 'ahh but Manny did it' but by time Manny was 30 which is the age Inoue is now he was fighting Cotto for the welterweight title. Inoue is 30 and he's a small super bantamweight even 126 is a very high class weight for him. Could he win a title there? Probably but I don't see his ceiling higher than featherweight. So the talks about him going to 135 is ludicrousComment

Inoue just moved up to 122 and there are three more weight classes before he would reach Davis at 135. I don't see Inoue moving up to 130 let alone 135. Hell, there's not really anything for him at 126. He probably retires at 122.
Not gonna happen EVER. He's a much smaller man than Lomachenko and Lomachenko was crazy to move up to 135.Last edited by paulf; 12-21-2023, 05:57 PM.Comment

tank is still young! remember that one? worked for a couple years there. these people have no shame they just constantly move the goalposts over their fandom of a figther. if you were saying hes too young 5-6 years ago you should be saying now wow i got tricked into supporting a guy who doesnt actually want to fight good fighters, instead they moved onto other excuses

The only people that are hyping this fight up are the race fools that wanna see Inoue lose bc he made them look like dummies by blasting out Fulton and making it look easy. There's weight classes for a reason. In reality, this is a non-subject. Inoue and Davis are both special fighters, but this just a pipe dream matchup for the haters.

Do you think Mike Tyson vs Ryan Garcia is logically due to the similarities in height? How about Davis vs Qwai?Comment

Its not a realistic fight right now anyway but who is pushing for this? Tank? There are plenty of good 135lb fighters so no need to call out a guy who has just moved up from 118 to 122.Comment
