I don't understand, is Ryan Garcia father saying Haney's father saying unsavoury comments about Ryan Garcia could hinder the fight. Shouldn't the comments motivate Garcia to make the fight not block it? Furthermore, I'm confused about the business aspect of the fight. There's zero need for either father to sit at the table. A promoter makes an offer and the manager's either say yes or no, that's it.

thats not how boxing lines are set. maidana can punch harder than floyd but floyd was a 10 to 1 favorite. garcia wouldnt be the favorite against haney from a betting perspective, especially considering his last 2 fights in which he looked mediocre to dreadful. haney meanwhile looked great in his last fight and the odds would reflect that
