Yeah this is the best option for boxing. One champ and they get to keep their full purse, no parasitic orgs. The worst that happens is Golden Boy fighters get preferential treatment with the rankings.

Problem is, I don’t think the promoters want that either. A “world champ” is way more marketable even if it’s a trinket.
