Its just for sparring, conditioning in a controled environment. JLC was JCC sparring mate before and has ring experience going 12 rounds. If JLC is in condition he will give Manny good sessions. You don't just spar with one fighter, they just might mix them up as they go.

Not true. In sparring you are trying to emulate the size and strength of an opponent, not necessarily an exact replica of him.

JLC is shot but he's not trying to be exactly like Cotto. He's trying to get Pac used to fighting a bigger stronger man, in that it will help Pac a lot.

JLC is shot but I think still makes a decent sparring partner to get Pac used to fighting a bigger guy.. He applies pressure too so Pac can get his footwrork together which is his key against Cotto.. I just think it's a bit odd they're using the guy that almost gave Floyd his first loss as a sparring partner lol

Last month there was a rumor about Castillo helping Pacquiao, and Roach's quote was something like... "It's false, Castillo is shot, why would I hire a shot fighter to prepare for Manny's toughest fight".

Am I dreaming, or did Roach not say that? I really wonder why he changed his mind. Perhaps Roach is not satisfied with the way sparring is going, and had a change of heart...

That fight was fake. Castillo was getting treated like crap by the ref, getting fouled, was shot, and basically took the knee for the money.

No way could he have stood up, walked several feet, did a 360, and then take a knee if it was a real liver shot.

remember what cotto did to gomez and martinez??almost the same shot and it will take before its stop you cuz even if you can handle the pain but you cant breath anymore...thats why it takes maybe a second before you will turn back o kneel down....
