Odlanier Solis vs Monte Barrett on Saturday!!!!


Is Solis really all that great and a future champ that many fans predicted in the beginning?...so far I'm not impressed with him. He's never in really good shape and looks sloppy and sluggish at times.

I think it could be a pretty good fight but who wins??

I have a feeling the guy has Cuba syndrome... I mean you hear sometimes about good amateur boxers that defect from Cuba to turn pro and lack the focus and concentration to keep their fighting form when confronted with all the temptations and distractions of western culture after living under a communist regime. I guess a large part of his being such a force in the amateurs had to do with the more consistent activity and focus... regarding the fight on the weekend, Barrett would seem to be a last minute opponent, and may be under prepared; I think Solis will get past him but I doubt it'll be an inspiring performance.
