    Mosley's Future

Now that Mosley has lost a fight that was vital for him to win, in order to maintain a presence in the upper status quo of boxing, just where do the rest of you think he will go from here. He said last night that he has no intentions of moving down in weight where he was a much more effective fighter. He certainly shouldn't move up in weight where his skills would most probably diminish even more and be facing fighters that are too big and powerful for him to compete against with any reasonable chance at success. Also his corner team didn't provide anything that that was outstanding or distinguishable from his prior fights.

Considering all of this, it appears that Mosley is in a catch 22 type of positon where he is stuck between the proverbial rock and a hard spot. My take is that he most likely will continue to fight but will have to settle for less caliber fighters versus your higher ranked ones. If he is able to build up a cache of wins then he may, at some future time, be able to challenge for a title again. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

I couldnt believe how bad he was in the Winky fight, i cant believe he's so blind!! Everyone can see that light middle ISNT his best weight.

He should either drop some weight or retire.

Mosley has no future, he's become a journeyman. He will follow the path of many boxers before him by continuing to fight and will be a name on the resume of some up and commer. See M. Taylor, L Bramble etc..............

Yeah it hurts to watch him getting nailed easily, also he has stopped to box and move. He's become a seek and destroy fighter, always looking to land the big punch to end the fight but he can't cause he's way too small now.
I would hate to watch him become a name on youger fighter's resume...let's hope he drops weight and comes back as the old shae we used to see!!

If he wants a furure in boxing he has to drop back down again...he doesn't have the pop at 154 that he did at 147. He can't hurt the bigger guys, I mean winky let him have a free shot at him!! He's got to start boxing again too instead of powering up one shot at a time.

I'd pay to see him fight again though because he always gives 100%.

if he doesn't move back down to 147, i don't think there'll be the demand to see him, he'll be a gatekeeper, to test the new pros

Having lost 4 out of his last 6 fights I think Mosley is done, I won't watch any of his fights anymore.....

I would like to see Mosley against the winner of Zab-Spinks. Or maybe Mosley vs. Vargas. The loser must retire!

Shane had trouble landing on Winky man, No disrespect but Cory would be running circles around the way shane fought the other night all though it would be very intriguing....To hear de la hoya possibly going to 147 is great, a fight with Spinks would be definite and that would be one hell of a fight and it would really test Cory, We dont really know much about him so I cant comment either way on that because he looked stellar in his past few fights but none of them were Oscar De la Hoya or should I say champion material????

Im unsure of Mosley at this point after saturday, His corner was horrible and Goosen had done no good for him and seems not to change anything which basically showed when Goosen said we would step it up in the late rounds and then the late rounds came and Goosen repeated himself a thousand times about how this is the round he needs to do it...

                    Do what? Kayo Wright???

                    Yeah Wright.

Shane reminds me to much of Raul Marquez
