  • Comments Thread For: Devin Haney: If Tank Really Wanted To Fight, He Would Be Trying To Build Up The Fight

Devin Haney views a showdown with Gervonta Davis as the biggest fight in boxing. The newly crowned WBC super lightweight champion also realizes that it is much more likely that he could fight another rival Davis knocked out in 2024 than Davis himself. Haney called what would also be a lucrative fight against Ryan Garcia "a possibility" during his post-fight press conference Saturday night, yet he was pessimistic about battling Davis, one of boxing's biggest stars, because he feels Davis does nothing but disparage him.

Tank's fans don't care if he ever faces a threat. His business model is to only fight guys he knows he can beat.

tank aint fighting haney at 140, tank is a good fighter but hes just making money off knocking out decent fighters tailor made for him. it is what it is, but hes not calling out the top in his division, haney is walking the walk... tank needs to fight a top name, nobody wants to see cruz again

Tank fans like to see him regardless of who he fights. They want to see him win.

I think Floyd and Al built Tank well to this point. I think they need to make the Loma and Shakur fights if they want Tank to expand outside the base of casual fans he’s built.

I don’t think he ever fights Haney unless its at some CW.

Tank not worried about no damn feater fist..

            Tank clearly has 2 focuses..

Rematch with Pitbull.. Rematch with Ryan.. in that order.. those are the only two fights he even mentions.

Two fights he knows he can easily win. He ain’t worried about Haney or Shakur or Loma because those are loseable fights for Gervonta

I don't see Tank fearing Haney. If Haney can't hurt Tank he's in a heap of trouble. Tank will just walk him down and hammer him.

Funny how Haney barely mentioned Davis’s name when he was at 135
Then again , Davis won’t fight him
                  Catch 22 ?

If Haney can hurt Tank then we will see a war. Haney might pull it off if Tank is not in peak form. Haney has the size advantage so he will be tough to beat.
