Comments Thread For: Bozy Ennis On Devin Haney Possibly Moving Up To Welterweight: "He Better Leave Boots Alone"

Either Devin Haney's getting bigger by the minute, or he has an unappeasable desire to win as many world titles as humanly possible.

I really don't get Bozy Ennis statement. Is he trying to do what they have been accusing Spence and Crawford of? If Haney moves up once again, especially if he beats Prograis tonight, they should welcome him to face Jaron Ennis.

Man I really could not see Devin as a welter. I just feel like he would get the hell beat out of him. Can’t see him being competitive with a Boots or Bud. I think that would just be ugly

Bozy wants a payday as much as anyone else, but he likes Devin, so he doesn't wanna see Devin get his mouth broken like that.

Who knows? Perhaps, it's because Jaron Ennis doesn't perform well against pure boxers. Remember how he struggled against Karen Chukhadzhian?

For whatever reason his dad doesn't want him to face Haney it doesn't sound good to me. If he claims his son is the best fighter/boxer in the world it shouldn't be an issue for him to face any elite boxer at his weight class. This attitude is what is destroying boxing in this era. Elites are looking for excuses for them not to fight eachother.

I don't think Haney would have to put on 7 pounds of muscle. I think he would just need to lose less water weight. I'm interested in seeing whether his chin improves if he doesn't have to dry out to an abnormally low weight. Not saying he beats Boots....but then again, who has Boots beaten?

If Haney beats Regis tonight , I’m pretty damn sure tomorrow he will be singing a different tune
He’ll put that friendship aside so his son can get that name on his resume

He’s saying Boots would hurt Haney and he doesn’t want that for Haney. If you’re a world rated, heavy hitter at 147, then you’re not gonna be scared of a feather fisted lightweight.

Given that Boots has had no luck getting a marquee fight against a name opponent, why is his father talking down and deriding the prospect of a Haney fight? He should be talking it up! A classic case of ego getting in the way of business. Dumb, dumb dumb.
