  • Comments Thread For: Haney To Prograis: You Don't Got No Chin; You Gonna Be First Somebody I Ever Knocked Out!

The prevailing feeling entering their showdown is that Devin Haney can only out-point Regis Prograis, whereas Prograis probably can only win their bout by knockout. Haney suggested otherwise during their "Face Off" segment, a preview produced by DAZN to promote their 12-round,

I've seen prograis eat shots from Taylor and Zepeda who hit alot harder than Haney. Not saying he can't knock him out this is boxing anyone can go at anytime (unless you're GGG) but i wouldn't be putting money on the Haney KO tonight though

Devin Haney needs to stop lying to himself.

Haney isn’t even a glass cannon. He’s made of glass and punches are as soft as cotton. He’s an exceptional holder/jabber, that’s it. That’s how he wins rounds.

Idk if it’s Prograis, but someone is going to just walk right through him one day and destroy him. He wrestled his way through 135, and used his size for that, but at 140-147, he will get wrecked. It’s not if, but when.

I'm just wondering if he's going to have more strength when he's not cutting insane amounts of weight.

Then again, he's still cutting insane weight at 140

He was heavy enough in the ring, and much bigger than his opponents at 135, that he should’ve been able to KO Linares and Gamboa if he had even a moderate amount of power.

He isn’t the first fighter to severely weight drain himself to make a weight class. But power doesn’t just go dormant like that and then comes back when you move up in weight.

Many severely weight drained fighters still showed their KO power come fight night after rehydrating. Haney really just has no power. And his chin is super suspect.

Yeah ,I'd be betting " the don't " on that one too. Like you said , it could happen , I could also go outside and levitate across the yard , but I wouldn't bet on it.

I'm decidedly not a fan of Haneys jab and grab style but I respect his willingness and desire to fight anybody and everybody who is a challenge. Out of all the lighter weight guys who say that they'll fight anyone , Haney is the only one actually doing it. That said , WAR ROUGAROU !

Much smaller Loma found Haney out but Prograis is no where near that level , he has a punchers chance, little more.

No one is knocking out No one. Regis won't K.O Haney because Haney is going to put on his track shoes and Haney is not going to K.O Regis because well, he's going to have his track shoes on. This will be a run, hug, hold, Jab to a decision for Haney.
