Comments Thread For: Regis Prograis-Devin Haney: Stats and Stakes

By Cliff Rold - Devin Haney has pushed all his chips in. The lineal king of the lightweight division has made clear that he isn't headed back to 135 pounds, vacating all of his alphabet titles ahead of a move to junior welterweight. Coming off his close, competitive win over Vasyl Lomachenko in one of the best fights of 2023, Haney is going right at one of the best of the next division up.

I concur with the writer. I got Haney winning by way of decision also.

My heart says Regis and I hope he roughs Haney up but my head says Haney by decision. Regis is such a likeable kid and Devin is such a tool I'd love to see him get humbled but we're probably gonna have to wait a little longer for that to happen. Props for his ability to keep making weight with that big balloon head. He looks like a middleweight (again) because I'm sure he will be (again) when he steps into the ring.

Well maybe "balloon head " will get smashed up inside the ring tonight it would be nice. Progress has not got much time left to make a mark in boxing WBSS was a long long time ago and even then i remember him as being concerned about the check bouncing more then anything else and that has followed him and dictated his lack of progress thru the years after. But this is his chance to make something loud happen from inside the ring. i will read about it or clip it later in the evening ............State of Boxing this fight should be avialable to fans who do not know they are fight fans yet......that is how you develop fight fans not by PPV prices and actions that keep potential fight fans out of the fight game............Enjoy

Haney lopsided decision. Regis was way to slow and short to compete couldn't land wasn't willing to double up on the jab. Haney loses to a healthy minded teofimo he has the footwork n power to compete. If I was Haney I would challenge Matias dodge teofimo. Regis had back to back horrible performance dude is aged out should retire
