  • Can Emiliano Vargas surpass his father?

Emiliano just debuted a year ago currently at 19 years old and has been looking more polished with each bout, getting solid sparring and conditioning thanks to his father's resources.

Having sparred the likes of Luis Alberto Lopez, Duke Ragan, Miguel Berchelt, Jamel Herring, Shakur Stevenson, Jorge Linares X2 and George Kambosos as far as I am aware. He currently holds a record of 8-0 (7KOs) with an amateur background of 110-10 (seven-time national champion). Emiliano is stating in interviews that he is willing to fight for a title next year if given the opportunity, but that sounds a bit far fetched how stacked the division is.

Fernando Vargas had debuted late at 20 years old and a year later became the youngest light middleweight champion at 21 years old with just 14 fights against a prime gritty Yori Boy Campas coming off a consecutive streak of wins. He had two super-welterweight world-title wins and five successful title defenses, Has a record of 7-2 (5 KO) in World Title fights. Has a record of 5-5 (2 KO) against former or current world titlists. Fernando "Ferocious" Vargas had wins over Javier Castillejo (58-5), Raul Marquez (30-1), Yori Boy Campas (72-2), Wilfredo Rivera (32-4), Ike Quartey (34-1-1), Winky Wright (39-2).

He might not be the best 154 pounder, but his accolades considering how early he has achieved them are quite underappreciated. likely for the bad impression he had left in the end of his career.

Still too early to tell. Remember his dad was a helluva fighter.

      If he's pushed accordingly, YES

If he has a stronger chin, yes. Though, his dad fought some monster hitters.
