Comments Thread For: Wallin: If Joshua Loses To Me Twice, It Will Be Very Hard For Him To Come Back

Heavyweight contender Otto Wallin is not that pleased with the mandatory rematch clause in the upcoming fight with former two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua. Wallin will finally get his crack at Joshua in the headline bout of a big card on December 23 in Saudi Arabia.

...Wait, is the mandatory rematch applicable to both sides? Does that mean AJ is fighting Wallin for his next two matches regardless?

I barely want to see them fight once, let alone twice.

Typical Hearn has no faith in Joshua another rematch clause. Hearn is holding up fighters careers by insisting on these continuous rematch clauses.

@ Wallin, trying to suggest that he is as good as Usyk. You'll be lucky to beat Joshua once, friend.

On the one hand, it seems messed up that Hearn has pushed for a rematch clause. But on the other hand, it's good business sense for his fighter. If AJ somehow loses, he'll get another shot to redeem himself and stay relevant, rather than fall down several steps on the ladder. If the lineal champ can hold things up by fighting a former MMA fighter and barely win, then why can't the former unified champ ask for a rematch clause against a top ten fighter?

IF IF IF ..... Let's wait until they fight and see what Wallin got. I noticed he has become so chatty these days. We'll see what he can offer that day. He might be a south paw but he is no Usyk and AJ is no breazale or Gassiev.

If he loses to Wallin in the first fight and manages to win the 2nd fight that will not be redemption but another loss which will add to his critics and his marketing. Hearn knows Joshua is overhyped but got his reputation by winning the title at that stage was pretty weak division against the Martin and Brezeale. His lucky he fought
An old Klitschko who he got a lucky escape if that was a Klitschko of 4 years previous to their fight he would of been stopped. Hearn will never put AJ in a fight without a rematch clause as he has no faith in his abilities. AJ thinks his the real deal that's why when he lost the rematch against Ussyk he through a histy fit.

It clearly shows a complete lack of confidence .Ben is going to have to work wonders with this guy! Like one post above states , we barely want to see this fight once ...this is ruining our sport , I'm sure he had a rematch clause with journeyman Franklin .....it's stuff like this why I'm anti this lot these days ...simply pathetic ...I'm starting to hope average Wallin beats this mug now!

If he gets cuts unlike Fury he would warrant a rematch
