Some comments from The Bobfather over at Boxing Scene right now in which he says that he thinks Floyd Mayweather should fight Shane Mosley, but because Floyd will never do that, he will strongly encourage the winner of Pacquiao/Cotto to consider fighting Mosley in 2010. He also says that the money split is going to be a huge obstacle in making a Mayweather/Pacquiao fight, and that if Mayweather is going to continue to insist on 60/40, it will make his job easy. "If I start hearing 60-40," he says, "that just tells me to hang up and move on to the next guy."

But unquestionably, Arum's most provocative remark is this: "I think Cotto probably beats Mayweather. I think Manny probably beats Mayweather and I think Mosley beats Mayweather."

Oh lordy lordy lordy, Rumblers, where do we even begin?

I think Cotto is the only one in my opinion that could probably beat Mayweather. Or at least have the highest chance to.

Look, if Arum is dead set against Floyd meeting any of the guys in his stable he should - {if asked about Floyd} just say "No Comment".

Roach, if asked {about Floyd} should just say "No Comment".

I agree. I think they would be more respected if they said: "You know, Floyd is a hell of a fighter, but we don't want our guys facing him at this time."

I think Manny has the best shot for the simple fact that no matter how good the shoulder roll works with orthodox, he is WIDE OPEN to a straight left. I think Cotto would be next because with the shoulder roll, Floyd is also open to a left hook to the body. He lifts his elbow if you get him with a left hook and for some reason NO ONE ever doubles up the left... I take it back they all go to his head for some reason and Floyd is totally open to a left hook to the body, got no clue why no one else uses it. Also, Floyd is fast but not superhuman fast and he's had problems with jabs, which is why I put Cotto behind Paq.

IDK why people think Mosley stands a better chance of Cotto/Paq... he doesn't do anything Floyd hasn't seen before and that he can't handle. Mosley's right is his best weapon and its apparent that Floyd can handle rights. Mosley can still beat him but I'd put my money on Paq/Cotto before Mosley.
