He sucks at shoulder rolling and had his back turned a lot. I got away with it due to fighting a bum that does not know how to capitalise on it, but this is not going to work at a higher level.

The best Garcia I've ever seen is Eddie Reynoso's Garcia. He needs to flee James and go back to Reyenoso if he knows what's good with him. James is going to get Garcia KO'd for a second time, and it will probably be his next fight.

        Horrible. Terrible.
What sort of fighter was he under Reynoso? Curious to know what you think think the style differences are, cheers

If a fighter with a lack of ring IQ gave Ryan hell, I have a difficulty thinking he could compete at the top level.

Duarte was a lightweight with his first fight at 140. Garcia's whole excuse for losing the tank fight was he couldnt make 136, its a joke he comes to 140 just to drag up a lightweight so that he can have every advantage, the size and not having to drain. If he is so damn big as he says then fight an actual junior welterweight. That fight was a joke.

Yeah doesnt matter the weight, he wont be able to take Tanks power and Tank will eventually hit him flush, his defense just isnt that good and then his offense isnt anything great either. Hes got a size and reach advantage on guys but wait when that goes away when he fights full size 140 and 147 fighters. He belongs at 147 with his frame, could you imagine him fighting boots? it would just be him with no size/reach advantage then what, he gets bodied.

He was more aggressive. He didn't turn his back on his opponent.

                Garcia vs Fonseca

(You can see here that he's emulating Canelo in a way. Well, not necessarily emulating because lots of fighters fight that way, but you can see that Reynoso style. I call it "creeping" (forward) but there are other names for back foot, front foot forward movement. He posts up in a high guard, tries to bait a jab or a cross to come over. He's slowly pressuring his opponent. Don't want to write too much but things like that. If you watch the highlights, you'll see what I'm saying.)

                Garcia vs Campbell

(When he fought Campbell, he was doing the same thing. Look how aggressive he his. Look at how tight his counter punching is here. Look at how well he's putting combos together. He's closing the distance, putting pressure on his opponent. His punch selection is far better too, going down and up, up and down.) You see what I'm talking about?

                Garcia vs Duarte

(Watch the lack of pressure, even when he has opportunity to do so. He's moving backward constantly. His punch selection hasn't improved; it's actually become worse. He no longer uses a high guard to bait and counter. At least not very often. He is now using a shell defense, which we rarely saw him use before. He can't counter from the shell defense, so he just lets guys tee off on him. He's dipping down, turning his back, all kinds of things that are absolute no no's. You can see how Duarte would catch him when he'd shell up and dip. He's jabbing a lot less than he was with Reynoso. I could go on ... )

He looks like a different fighter. And when you compare Ryan with Reynoso's to Ryan now, he doesn't even seem to be the same fighter. So that's why I said what I did.

If you listen to Ryan in the post fight conference, you'll hear how concerned he was about his power. I think your concerns have more to do with the opponent than the trainer.

Ryan's back roll, too defensive style is butt ugly. Referee should have given him a warning or something.

Its not James , Ryan said himself he told him to stop doing that sht youre not Mayweather, once the bell rings the fighters are on there own and they often go against what they trained for, fighters just slip into fight mode and be they don't have the discipline to follow the gameplan, fans blame the trainer for failings and credit the fighters for winning.
