Here's the truth of the matter. Oscar Duarte had never fought anyone. He's not a bum but the guy never fought a soul. There's a reason GBP picked him as the comeback fight for Ryan. Ryan stinks, he's all flash and no substance. The minute things get tough in there against another A level guy, he's going to fold like a cheap suit and quit again. Rolly is the logical next step for him because that dummy will walk right into a shot inside the first 3 rounds and be sleeping. Then Ryan fans will be drooling thinking he will beat Teo or Haney or even Tank lol. Enjoy it while it lasts because it won't be for long

A lot of hate here, I thought Ryan looked good and closed the show against a strong, durable guy. More than can be said about other guys who drag out these opponents to boring decisions.

I hear what you're saying, and some of the criticism is overblown, but people are going to react against a guy who prioritises style over substance. He gets given a lot of airtime to talk big about what he's going to do in boxing and has thus far failed to deliver. I am a boxing fan, I don't have an Instagram account.

I don't know why people are hating on Ryan Garcia. The majority of the criticism against him here are just complete nonsense!
Ryan won the fight by knock out and neutralize Duarte by not making the fight a fire fight but fought tall and got his win. This is his first fight with Derrick James and I believe with more fights there will be better chemistry. Ryan did what he had to do and called out the right person to fight next in Rolly.

I remember when Teofimo fought Pedro Campa for his debut fight at 140 and people said he didn't fight well, the stoppage was poor and he didn't look good at 140. I also remember how he was criticized against Sandor Martin and was even knocked down, I myself criticized him and was scared for him against Josh Taylor but look how that changed. He outboxed and outsmarted Taylor all the time and won spectacularly.

I believe Ryan Garcia should be given time and he will do well. Most of these criticism are just born from hate and it is unnecessary.
