[QUOTE=sharkeyez;n32091807]Mungia needs to KO Ryder to even be considered as one of Canelo’s future opponents. That said, Mungia, IMO, will be tested against a tough fighter in Ryder. To me, it makes sense that if Mungia beats Ryder, very likely, he needs to fight Berlanga next. After he beats the breaks off of Berlanga, he should be next in line at a crack at Canelo. [/QUO

WBO is last on the fake mandatory rotation after Canelo beat Ryder...I'll watch it but Mungia is far from next in line for Canelo

This is pretty easy, nobody thinks Mungia is even close to as good as Canelo so they don't care. It's nothing more than a really fun fight between 2 just above average guys in that divisiion.

The problem is with calling Ryder a “bum” when Canelo fights him but not when Munguia fights him.

Ryder is better than Berlanga, so I would see Munguia vs. Berlanga as step backwards for Munguia! Berlanga vs. Pacheco!

Ryder is not a bum either way. He's a solid B level fighter. Won't beat the Elite guys but he'll have a shot against Mungia who's below that top level IMO

Your point is a strawman because the "NSB" is not a singular entity, it consists of many individuals each with their own opinions. You responded a few comments into the thread: (1) The comments which preceded yours are not the "NSB"; (2) Did those individuals express an inconsistent view?

mungias career is so laughable and serendipitous. he went from about to lose to ggg but because that fight was too easy for ggg it wasnt approved to being the a-side guy because he beat a ww who was terrible but who happened to beat a shot cotto. they saw someone they could turn into an a marketing scheme so they have been matching him charmin soft since then and even still getting dubious decisions against dennis hogan(who?) and old dervychenko movign up in weight. ryder coming off a loss will be the biggest test of his career. this is tank davis level stuff

Isn't it more laughable that a champion was trying to fight a kid prospect who had never been in the ring with anybody at the time?

this was after canelo got busted for ped's and they needed a late replacement tune up opponent and there was no money in the budget to get anyone good. context matters.

Yeah, seeing what The Technician did, I think Ryder can have a lot of success. I lean Munguia by another close/questionable decision, but I expect it to be very competitive
