Right about what? Canelo, Oscar, Bhop and Mosley are old school and have always done things a certain way. And of that list, only Mosley seems like a decent dude. The other three are almost insufferably arrogant and full of ****.

You ever heard of Instagram or Tik Tok? I am in my 40's and the future of the sport is obviously in this type of model. If there is to be a future.

Garcia pisses the old guard off because he is the new wave. The old way is done, boxing is dying doing things as it always has.

How many with Garcia? 1.2 million. How many more is that than Davis sold before Garcia? You tell.

I think you're making a number of tenuous claims. Garcia - Tank was an event. What were Garcia's PPV numbers before fighting Tank?

I don't think you can sustain this argument that a social media following translates into PPV numbers. Why isn't Garcia fighting on PPV tonight?

Canelo admonished Ryan about discipline and focus. That may be considered old fashioned but it’s still the right way of doing things for a boxer.

In any case Ryan still signed a contract with Golden Boy that he has to honor. No matter who is in Lupe Valencia’s ear and probably dangling money in front of him too.

Than Bhop is saying that he chooses when a fighter fights again or not. LOL.

IMO be better for both parties to agree to dissolve the contract. Oscar looks like a whiny unprofessional **** and Garcia obviously wishes he had never signed with a promoter who would bad mouth him publically.
Didn't Oscar say there were threats against him and somebody from GB was there? Not sure how true that is or how much difference it would have made anyway. Does anybody actually expect Oscar to be professional? Dude's an addict. Plus the comments about the weight etc were true. He was making excuses for Garcia, the same excuses he's using himself right now.

The Hopkins comment whilst not necessarily factual, doesn't sound particularly bad to me. Ryan's reaction just makes him look mentally soft, overly emotional and in need of constant reassurance.

I agree it's probably best if they part ways bit I think both sides are probably in the wrong in a way. Oscar is probably an unprofessional snake and Ryan probably thinks he's a big enough star that he doesn't need GBP, can get a better deal elsewhere and doesn't want to honor the contract that he agreed to.

Honestly I don't know. Davis calls himself a superstar and sells 200k. Garcia would sell twice that fighting Duarte. I assume that is Oscar's choice. Maybe a DAZN thing?

Go look at the IG followers of guys on PPV & the guys not on PPV & you'll start to notice some trends. There's definitely something to ppl giving a fook about you & the PPV buying audience. Or money in boxing in general. Navigating social media well has never been more key to a boxer than it is right now & its likely to matter more & more moving forward. There is a reason a guy like Ryan is making $30M as the B side in a PPV & my dude Boots can't get a real opp ppl gaf about in a main event.

Granted there are outliers this way or that way, but overall guys with followers are doing PPV's & getting paid more than guys with small or no followers.

As to Tank vs Ryan its hard to say that Tank was a 200k guy til Ryan added more than that to get their big show as I do think there is magically math at work in boxing where 1 plus 1 equals 5 instead of 2. Tank has an audience, Ryan has an audience & then there is a holy sh^t THOSE TWO GUYS ARE FIGHTING audience that brings in the casuals that brings in multiplication not just addition.

I think GBP not making a PPV level fight for Ryan was likely a GBP/business/GBP ego mistake with all the drama between these sides.
