Not a Canelo fan, but the Bivol fight was his lowest PPV fight for the past 8 years since Liam Smith..
Canelo vs Jermall Charlo probably does 300-500k more than Canelo vs Bivol and those are both fights I’m not interested in.

Canelo will choose Munguia or Charlo next, 175 is out of the question .

HOF but nothing special or generational. Nobody mentions him with the likes of Floyd or Pac or even a Roy Jones. Has he had a better career or legacy than a Marquez, Barrera or Morales? Not for me, other Mexican greats also disagree. Too much stain across his name, dodging, gifts, cheating & catchweights.

Don't forget Julio Caesar Chavez, who most consider the greatest Mexican fighter. The gift scores and "consequences of tainted food" will be forgotten in time when Canelo may reach no. 2.

I think Nelo needs Benevidez as people say its the fight they want to see. So im sure Nelo will get credit. If Nelo wins, and dont get credit, then it will be like so why did you want to see the fight and say i was putting it off for as long as i could?

Benavidez pulled out a fairly close decision against Caleb Plant.

Glad the author of this isn't a judge. The fight was a beatdown and clear win going away for Benavides.

What legacy? Chavez, Morales, Barrera type of legacy, or the British circut kind of legacy?

Canelo doesn’t need Benavidez. He has other options, like Crawford or a Bivol rematch or even Munguia.

But David deserves the fight and I want to see it happen.

Before beating Plant, Canelo haters were calling for this fight, for whatever hating ass reason. Probably just making up a new boogeyman.

Now that Benavidez beat Plant and Andrade, this turned into a legit match. Now is the time to make it (2024). Not for some hating ass reason like just making up fights that makes no sense.

Not only is this the best fighter Canelo can fight right now, it’s the biggest fight that can be made in 2024. A close second is Fury-Usyk, and Wilder-AJ is 3rd.
