Unless Canelo feels like taking a risk risk vs Beterbiev, a rematch vs Bivol then Benavidez is his best option to sell ppv. Upon the eye test Morrell Jr would be his biggest challenge @ 168 yet Morrell needs a couple big fights to build his resume before a Canelo change of guard fight based upon age it'll be 18 months from now

Not a Canelo fan, but the Bivol fight was his lowest PPV fight for the past 8 years since Liam Smith..
Canelo vs Jermall Charlo probably does 300-500k more than Canelo vs Bivol and those are both fights I’m not interested in.

Canelo will choose Munguia or Charlo next, 175 is out of the question .

With all due respect Canelos legacy was cemented long before Benavidez came along. Still wanna see the fight but Canelo is HOF already and was a while ago.

I think Nelo needs Benevidez as people say its the fight they want to see. So im sure Nelo will get credit. If Nelo wins, and dont get credit, then it will be like so why did you want to see the fight and say i was putting it off for as long as i could?

Benavidez pulled out a fairly close decision against Caleb Plant.

Glad the author of this isn't a judge. The fight was a beatdown and clear win going away for Benavides.

Only reason he needs you is because Haymon needs to make back that 120m he signed Canelo for and that Charlo fight was a huge dud. Haymon is going to force ginger to take at least one really sellable fight and we know he’s not going anywhere near 175 again because we’ll he would have to fight people who can whip his @ss this time and he doesn’t want Bivol smoke again.

Canelo doesn’t need Benavidez. He has other options, like Crawford or a Bivol rematch or even Munguia.

But David deserves the fight and I want to see it happen.

Before beating Plant, Canelo haters were calling for this fight, for whatever hating ass reason. Probably just making up a new boogeyman.

Now that Benavidez beat Plant and Andrade, this turned into a legit match. Now is the time to make it (2024). Not for some hating ass reason like just making up fights that makes no sense.

Not only is this the best fighter Canelo can fight right now, it’s the biggest fight that can be made in 2024. A close second is Fury-Usyk, and Wilder-AJ is 3rd.
