At the smaller weight classes, every 3 pounds make a huge difference which is why the gap between weight classes is small and then get wider as you move up.

Pac gradually moved into each new weight class one at a time and acclimated to the weight.
He did not go from fighting at 115 to beating up Margarito at 150 in his next fight which is what you think Crawford can do with Canelo.
You understand Manny was fighting at 144lbs fightnight with a 129 weigh-in, at 147 he was 144 lbs fightnight, and ended up 150lbs midway through his WW campaign.

Fight night weights tell the real story, not weightclasses, the 30 hrs rehydration with some guys covers 3 weight classes.

Those holes are that he’s clearly lost a step.

Cannot see crawford ever fighting canelo

Crawford is pretty careful on who he fights imo

This is probably just a way to help negotiations for a different fight such as spence or jermell

When you’re in a country that has “A” star or two, as far as fighters, that’s bound to happen. Put Crawford/Tszyu in Vegas and no one gives a ****. Vegas, you know, the fight capital of the world?

I agree he is careful who he fights. But he also wants that work. And every fighter on the planet wants to fight Canelo. It’s the financial pinnacle of the sport. He’d EASILY take an L in that fight for that kinda money. I’m not even saying he’d definitely lose (I do think he loses) but my point is, it’s worth it to everyone on earth to take THAT loss. Especially smaller weight class fighters that can say “Hey I fought a bigger man”

But why not go where the money is, if that's what you're looking for? PS The fight capital is now Riyadh, purse wise.
