Comments Thread For: Andre Rozier Wants Demetrius Andrade To Return To The Middleweight Division

Demetrius Andrade enjoyed being a world champion but carrying around that golden trinket came with certain obligations that somewhat annoyed him. After winning the WBO middleweight title in 2018, Andrade believed it would be a gateway to bigger fights and even bigger paychecks. Four years later, however, no one took the bite.

Al Haymon promotion and NDA along with shoebox ring.

DAZN offers Charlo 7-10 million at a natural 160 which Haymon rejects and Andrade ends up in a shoebox for 1.2 million, similar to not making Crawford/Spence until Crawford leaves TR.

Like we didn't see him have Ortiz turn down AJ money and plugged in 2 Wilder fights to build Wilder's profile.

But we can play games and pretend this kind of stuff doesn't go on in boxing when we are fanboys of a fighter.

Lara has been WBA (regular) middleweight champ since May 1, 2021. He's currently the only WBA champ in the division, since Golovkin vacated the Super belt on March 9 after being ordered to face Lara. Maybe do your research next time?

Lara is still dangerous, never been embarrassed in the ring, never really handily beaten he's not using his legs as much but sitting down more on his punches. He holds the WBA regular title and there is no super champion so I guess at some point he'll get bumped up. He is still something of a boogeyman who unlike Andrade claims he was, fighters. are ducking Lara to this day.

BooBoo earned the reputation as a bad business partner. He pulled out of a fight with Mel after the deal was done. He was the champion at 154 and his mandatory chose to fight a handicapped James Kirkland but I digress. Instead of bitching at Al Haymon why didn't DAZN make it's two champions under its banner sole the reason BooBoo went to DAZN fight him?

Just cash the check and get a head start on your future bro. Invest some of it and take some damn classes. Some of these trainers man, tf is he gonna really do at his age? Rebuild, take unnecessary punishment, you’ve got a few dollars and your senses. Use the time to start chapter 2 of your life. Hell a highlight reel of this dudes best fight moments is like 2 minutes long. He ain’t going back to 160 to make 20 million.
