No more B.S, if Canelo doesn't fight Benavides in May, it's a straight duck. None of this Charlo first then Benavides in September, or Munguia, who's name is being thrown around, especially Munguia. Canelo has said he doesn't fight Mexicans, well last time I checked, Munguia is Mexican and from Mexico, at least Benavides is American with Mexican descent, so if that's the case he should get first crack. It wouldn't be a good look especially if Canelo fights Munguia, honestly I think that's just talk but never the less David is more deserving than anyone else in the the 168 division. I haven't called Canelo a duck but if it's anyone else in May but Benavides, then Quack, Quack......

Benavidez is on a roll and looking like a champ. Canelo fight is interesting bc Canelo has another level of power that Plant Andrade & Charlo didn't.

Everybody knows Canelo only takes fights when he feels safe to win. All the big victories on his resume are big names past their prime, gatekeepers, Euro-bums or feather fisted fighters. The only time he was challenged himself he was outclassed by Mayweather. Then Bivol was a cherry pick going wrong and he lost twice to a past his prime GGG.

Canelo said he may fight another five years. I hope someone tells him that Benavidez is entering his prime, not aging out of it.

If Canelo fights Benavidez now, he has a slight punchers chance in the first couple rounds. After third round, he will get obliterated....but, his chin is great, he could make it to the end on his feet.

If he waits much longer, he is going to get hurt badly and stopped. Benavidez is only getting better.
