His style can only be beaten by someone who can hurt him and keep him off of them. I was surprised at Ergashev's lack of a jab considering he's training w/ Steward.

Cherry picker Tank isn't going anywhere near a puncher like Matias, so forget that. Catterall, Lopez, or Prograis-Haney winner should be next because Matias does need to step up. Ponce and Ergashev both had padded records and were no more than fringe contenders.

Matias needs to be with top rank. There’s no reason for him not to be a big star considering how weak PR boxing has been since Cotto retired. Top rank was somehow able to give a scrub like Berlanga a bigger name that Matias who is significantly better and more exciting than Berlanga. Arum would have this guy fighting before the PR parade and walking to the ring with Tito to promote his popularity.

Ergashev was an undefeated mandatory - so that counts.

                  Catterall would get decimated.

Teo would be a good test - but I think Teo gets broken down late.

Prograis - if he goes in there tentative, he gets broken down.

Haney is the only one of that list we think has a chance against Matias. And that's assuming he stinks the joint out and does a record number of clinches.

Matias vs Teo would be a great fight but Matias would break him down in the later rounds. Great fight though.
