The proposed welterweight unification bout between champions Shane Mosley and Andre Berto has been able to gain some ground with the WBC. In order to take a fight with Mosley [WBA champion], Berto was under threat of being stripped by the WBC. The sanctioning body had an issue with the fight because of an overdue defense against mandatory Luis Collazo. Berto won a close decision over Collazo at the start of the year. [details]

If Berto takes the Mosley fight he should get stripped and Collazo should fight Ay*** for the title(Vacant) or atleast Make the winner of Mosley-Berto autamatically fight Collazo or strip him.
